Our Director/Companion

Rev. Jennifer Orr

Calling is to be the embodiment of God’s love out in the world in everything she does. When asked about her call she describes herself in this way: “I am a relational, broken, faithful, trusting believer, and I have many gifts and talents that I know God will use to fulfill the mission of reconciling the world through transformation.”

One of those gifts is being a good listener and helping people hear and see how God is already working in their lives. She is able to walk alongside a person as they struggle to find the strength they have with God.

One of several passion is leading/designing pilgrimages. One place in particular she enjoys leading people to is Iona, Scotland.

Rev. Jennifer is an ordained Deacon in the United Methodist Church. She has a Masters degree in Practical Theology with a concentration in Pastoral Counseling. Rev. Jennifer is a member of Spiritual Directors International.

She has worked in several churches as a music minister, worship coordinator, pastor, discipleship minister, and she has also worked in the community serving to build bridges between community members, different churches/denominations, and businesses.
All the while she has helped individuals on their faith journey.

Currently, her appointment within the United Methodist Church is with The Haven: A United Methodist Community as well as Granted Grace. She will also be starting the Doctor of Minister program at McAfee School of Theology the fall of 2024.

When asked what she wants her legacy to be:
”I want to empower people and change lives by reflecting the light of God.”
