As followers we are constantly on a pilgrimage (journey) with God in our faith. Sometimes, though, we get stuck and struggle in our journey. When this happens, we need to find new ways to meet God in the ordinary places of the world. We may need help to find connections with God.

We have all heard “God is Love,” and we have not just heard that verbally. We find in scripture: “for God is love,” (1 John 4:8 NLT).
We are constantly having God’s love, which we call grace, pour over us. The grace (love) is abundant.
What does this mean? We have Grace (love) from God every moment of our lives, however we don’t take that grace for ourselves?

What is the difference between sympathy and empathy? Why is it important to know the difference when dealing with someone who is processing loss?

Both questions are important to understand for yourself and for general reasons. You probably know what the difference feels like even if you can’t put words to the difference.

We interchange loss, grief/grieving, and mourning in our everyday language all the time. We even do it in scripture, at least when it is translated in English. But there are differences to these terms, and we should know them.
